When I first read about the plans for the Island Gardens project and the Shangri-La Residences, I had mixed feelings. I have many fond memories of shopping at the fresh fish market, riding my motorcycle and taking helicopter rides from Watson Island. Now this amazing project with the first west coast Super-Yacht Marina will add a new level of luxury to Miami. A number of my clients have stayed at Shangri-La Hotels all of which have said there is nothing in Miami today that can compare. Trusting in them, I believe this will be one of the top 5 condominiums in Miami-Dade.
Project Details:
The Shangri-La Residences at Island Gardens, encompases the upper floors of the structure with the Shangri-La Hotel on lower floors. The hotel will offer the high service standards to residents. Expect there to be only 100 residences ranging from 850 to 3,700 square feet with oversized terraces. Plans include furniture packages by Piero Lissoni, a an Italian interior designer.
The Super-Yacht Harbor at Island Gardens will be the only facility in the area that is exclusively designed for mega-yachts. The super-yacht harbor, will provide a spectacular backdrop to Island Gardens, and benefits from the deep waters of the cruise ship terminal, which are deep enough for large cruise ships and not subject to tidal restrictions for access.
